Couples Counseling

Do you feel like your relationship is at a standstill? Are you and your partner stuck in the same argument loop every night? Do you feel like you and your partner are drifting away? Do you desire more intimacy? All things can be improved, changed and bettered if there is a commitment to create change. With couples therapy, you’ll learn how to communicate your feelings and needs, and get what you want out of your relationship. In my couple’s therapy sessions, I help people develop the necessary skills needed to overcome relationship obstacles and maintain sustaining love.

Couples Intensives


Couples intensive sessions offer a private setting and uninterrupted time to devote to your relationship. Marathon sessions can help move a couple thinking about ending their relationship to recommitting in new ways leading to a fulfilling lifetime of love. Couples completing a two day intensive experience the equivalent of six months of therapy. 

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is an integrative psychotherapy approach that has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma. EMDR is a set of standardized protocols that incorporates elements from different treatment approaches. EMDR therapy is an integrative psychotherapy and uses a technique called bilateral stimulation to repeatedly activate opposite sides of the brain. Therapists often use eye movements to facilitate the bilateral stimulation. These eye movements mimic the period of sleep referred to as rapid eye movement or REM sleep, and this portion of sleep is frequently considered to be the time when the mind processes the recent events in the person’s life.

Faith-Based Counseling

Do you wish for guidance from a trained professional who will understand and respect that your number one priority is building a relationship with God? If so, you are definitely not alone. More and more of my clients are looking for faith-based counseling that can heal the mind and the soul. They want to be able to not only discuss the issues they are having but also openly discuss God, the Bible, and their belief in the power of prayer.

Individual Therapy

Are you having a difficult time handling the struggles in your life? Could you use an expert opinion on what you’re going through, or a non-judgmental ear just to listen? Do you think you could benefit the most from individualized attention? Are you hesitant to talk to others about your problems? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, then individual therapy could be the solution you’ve been seeking. Individual therapy differs from Group or Alternative therapy methods in the way that you are the sole focus of a single therapist who helps you develop and achieve your goals for therapy.

Telehealth

Do you need support, but can’t make it to an in-person appointment? Are you a busy stay-at-home or working parent, and don’t have the time to drive across town for an appointment? Do you live in a more rural area, or maybe you prefer to just do things Virtually? If so, we can help you through virtual therapy, or telehealth. Telehealth allows us to provide counseling and therapy to our clients via live video conferencing. This can be done anywhere you have a computer or smartphone.

Therapy for Self-Esteem

Do you suffer from anxiety or depression? Do you often feel awkward and self-conscious in social settings? Are you constantly comparing yourself to others and finding you never measure up? Self-esteem is a concept that speaks to how we feel about ourselves. When one has high self-esteem, they feel confident, centered, and worthy of love. People with low self-esteem often feel shame and self-doubt. They often feel critical of themselves and are unworthy of love or praise.
